Don't Go It Alone

Hello to all,

Team Don’t Go It Alone is once again participating in Pink Vail on Saturday March 25, 2017 .  This will be our third year.  Your support is appreciated!
Pink Vail is the world's biggest ski day to conquer cancer. Proceeds benefit patient care and survivorship programs at Shaw Regional Cancer Center, a fully accredited cancer treatment center in Edwards, Colorado. Shaw exists because of generous donors, passionate volunteers and talented clinicians who are dedicated to restoring the health of their cancer patients.
Please join our team!  This year will be like the last two for Team Don’t Go It Alone.  For those who cannot attend in person but can support, thank you very much!  Your contributions will be put to very good use and appreciated by Shaw’s Survivors!

Please register as a participant or donor at this link:
Thank you very much for your support!

P.S.  A story and then my plan:

Story:  When I was 5 my neighbor gave me some wooden skis and leather boots.  I started by hiking up the back yard and skiing down and would do this for hours and hours.  I loved it and that’s how it began.

Plan:  I will attempt to hike up (on alpine touring skis) to the top of Beaver Creek (3300 vertical feet) and ski back down on March 19th.  This will be to show my hope for all cancer patients, families, doctors and caregivers anywhere on earth.  My belief is in powers much greater than just us ourselves.  It’s what “Don’t Go it Alone means to me and I will use this day as an expression of my appreciation for each and every one of you and all you have done to help me and my family over the past three years.  The day will be dedicated to my friend Gary who helped my family immeasurably.  He left us too soon and is missed every day.  Godspeed Gary!

I have been inspired by many people in my life.  One in particular was surfer Jay Moriarity who truly went big and appreciated every day.   I’m trying to live like Jay:
