Gretchen Babcock | Rebel Yells

Welcome to The Rebel Yell Team Page! Rebels With A Cause!

Once again, I am forming a Pink Vail team - "The Rebel Yells” -  in memory of my husband, Judd Babcock. Several people have asked me if I am ready to give up this team, and I will admit that I have asked myself the same question. However, when I look back on how important the Shaw Cancer Center was to Judd, me and our family, it is hard to give up on this cause. With very little effort, lots of friends, some creativity and great fun thrown in, we have been able to raise about $20,000 each year. That is a significant amount that would be missed by the patients and their families who rely on this critical patient care programs.

On Saturday, March 28, 2020, I will be participating in Pink Vail to support patients and survivors at our local cancer center and I need your support!

Pink Vail is the world's biggest ski day to conquer cancer. 100% of Pink Vail donations and registration fees benefit all patients at Shaw Cancer Center through enhancements to patient care and patient programming. All Shaw patients, whether male or female, no matter their cancer diagnosis, have the opportunity to benefit from Pink Vail funds throughout their cancer treatment experience and beyond. These unique services can dramatically impact a patient's quality of life, but are not typically covered by insurance.

It is rare for a rural, resort town to provide such comprehensive care, and, truly, Shaw exists because of generous donors, passionate volunteers and talented clinicians who are dedicated to restoring the health of their cancer patients.

Please support me in this great cause! To make a donation on my behalf and help me reach my fundraising goal, click on the "Donate Now" button to the right. Does your company offer an employee match program? Check Gift Match to see if your company is on the list and easily request a match!

If you would like to join me in my efforts to ski/ride on March 28, then please register to participate. You don't have to be a skier to join me, there are many ways to participate. Those of you who don't ski can volunteer or enjoy the festivities at Pink Vail Headquarters at the base of Vail Mountain at Golden Peak. This event is so much fun, you don't want to miss it!

Thanks for your support!
