Laura Kruczek | Passport Club

As many of you know, this event is very near and dear to my heart.

As a Cancer Survivor – almost 14 months cancer free (!!!) to the day of this event – I understand how important (and unique) Shaw’s Spirit of Survival Program really is.  The services and support provided to patients are so incredibly valuable, it’s hard to imagine such a full recovery without it.  I joined the Shaw team in April 2017 on a professional level as our Oncology Financial Navigator – I literally see all the funds raised go to great use EVERY DAY.  Recently, I have transferred my care from my Orthopedic Oncologist down in Denver up to the Shaw Cancer Center as well.  So please, join me on the mountain in your best pink, for an adult beverage at the base, or at least in spirit through a donation – every little bit counts!

On Saturday, March 24, 2018, I will be participating in Pink Vail to support patients and survivors at our local cancer center and I need your support!

Pink Vail is the world's biggest ski day to conquer cancer. Proceeds benefit all patients at Shaw Cancer Center through enhancements to patient care and by funding the Spirit of Survival program, providing all patients the opportunity to receive free exercise training, nutrition coaching, emotional support, massages, acupuncture, outdoor adventures and much more. These unique services can dramatically impact a patient's quality of life, but are not typically covered by insurance.  It is rare for a rural, resort town to provide such comprehensive care, and, truly, Shaw exists because of generous donors, passionate volunteers and talented clinicians who are dedicated to restoring the health of their cancer patients.

Please support me in this great cause! To make a donation on my behalf and help me reach my fundraising goal, click on the "Donate Now" button to the right.

If you would like to join me in my efforts to ski/ride on March 24, then please register to participate. You don't have to be a skier/boarder to join me, there are many ways to participate. Those of you who don't ski/ride can volunteer or enjoy the festivities at Pink Vail Headquarters at the base of Vail Mountain at Golden Peak. This event is so much fun, you don't want to miss it!

Thanks for your support!
