Pink Vail Team
Pauls in Pink
Welcome to our Team Page! We are participating in Pink Vail on Saturday, March 25, 2017 to support our local cancer center and we need your support!
Pink Vail is the world's biggest ski day to conquer cancer. Proceeds benefit patient care and survivorship programs at Shaw Regional Cancer Center, a fully accredited cancer treatment and comprehensive breast center in Edwards, Colorado. It is rare for a rural, resort town to provide such comprehensive care, and, truly, Shaw exists because of generous donors, passionate volunteers and talented clinicians who are dedicated to restoring the health of their cancer patients.
Our team is getting involved in Pink Vail because we want to support our local cancer center. Join our team! You don't have to be a skier to join the team, there are many ways to participate with us. Costume contest, entertainment and fun will take place at Pink Vail Headquarters located at the base of Vail Mountain at Golden Peak.
On a personal note, I participate in Pink Vail to support my mother and grandmother who are breast cancer survivors. For all my friends, who have been impacted in one way or another by this fatal illness. I proudly wear a pin in the shape of a Pink Ribbon on my backpack everyday. At times, a local Chilean will stop me in the vegetable market asking about the pin and telling me about his or her story with breast cancer. These conversations always ends with hugs and, sometimes with tears. Every time I learn about a stranger's story and their struggle with breast cancer, it makes me more culturally aware that breast cancer is a universal illness. I participate in Pink Vail to help raise awareness about breast cancer. I'm proud to say I do it on an international level.
So, if you can't join us on the hill but would like to support our team, and the overall Pink Vail message, then please spread the word. Pauls in Pink. (The "Donate Now" button is located just to the right).
Thanks for your support!
